Working Principle And Applications Of Hydraulic Pump
A hydraulic pump is a device that
converts mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. The device comes in various
designs and sizes to address various tasks and in different industries. Many
agricultural and farming machinery companies use IH hydraulic pump
to execute certain tasks in the business.
When a hydraulic pump operates, it
creates a vacuum inside the pump. This allows atmospheric pressure to push the
fluid or gas substance from the storage into the inlet line to the pump.
Another function of the device is delivering the substances to the pump outlet
by forcing it into the hydraulic system.
Types of hydraulic pumps
Generally, there are three main
different types of hydraulic pumps - gear pumps, gerotor pumps, and screw
pumps.
- Gear pumps
Both the internal gear and external
gear are of the positive or fixed displacement pump group. These pumps are the
simplest and the most commonly used in several industries.
- Gerotor pumps
They have one external gear rotor
meshing with the inside of internal idler gear. They allow fluid passes from
the inlet to outlet by continuously changing the off-centre rotor seals.
- Screw pumps
In this system, fluid passes through
the pump in a linear direction by intermeshing shafts inside a common housing.
These pumps are very efficient because they produce low noise due to the
reliable continuous gear contact.
Whenever a mechanical function is
needed in agricultural machines, using IHweek hydraulics is the best option. When you have a problem with your IH
tractor, hire experienced mechanics from an authorized IH service provider.
